Joined the industry in 1992

David was born in Rustenburg in 1971. He matriculated from Jim Fouche Highschool in 1989. He spent two years in the South African Police in Johannesburg, whereafter he joined the then Midland Brokers in Somerset East. In 1996 David bought Midland Brokers and started concentrating on short term insurance. He served on the management of various committees in this time, such as the Agri Gilde and Financial Intermediaries Association of South Africa (FIA). David completed both his RE5 and RE1 qualifications in 2011. In 2005 he joined PSG Consult, where he won several awards, such as “Best Short-Term Practice – 2012/2013”. In 2019 he decided to join GBG Short Term Insurance in Somerset East. He is very active and enjoy playing golf, mountain biking and hunting.
